Welcome to my first blog and welcome to the new website! We have moved everything from the Romantic rooms website previously at www.romantic-rooms.co.uk to the new all singing, all dancing clear images site  www.youngsfurnishings.com and we hope you like it. We have been really busy preparing the new site and the usual xmas rush for our new collections. Running parallel with the seasonal festivities ahead we are gearing up for the Mountain View Development in Cyprus. Youngs Furnishing Consultants Ltd are providing all the furnishings and white goods for the development so it has been rather hectic to say the least. Watch this space for new pieces and an update on our latest development in the Med. Kind Regards, Warren

The Meadows Mountain View complex has been completed with a large number of apartments completely furnished, we also installed the blinds, air conditioning units and white goods. Photos to be published shortly. It still amazes me that developers do not install such items as the investors were looking at quite a lot of money on top of their initial mortgage payment to have oven, hob, fridge freezer, washing machine all installed at once. In April we entered into a joint venture with Solutions Overseas who will be marketing all the properties we furnished on the Meadows site, to coincide with this we have set up a property management service that will enable our clients to service their rental bookings. In May the property mangement kick started with our first 'deep cleans', welcome packs and change over days from which we received some excellent feedback. Let's hope there are many more to come!

This month has seen much speculation in the stock and currency markets specifically the euro vs sterling rate that affects all overseas property residents. Having spent more than half of the first 6 months of the year on the continent spending euros it came as a welcome relief to see an increase of 10% more euro's in my pocket! I'm sure many of the overseas owners earning sterling either via pension funds or work will agree with me. Italy has been my most recent destination in particular Lake Garda where there appears to be a lot of building work being completed, that last year was most definitely stalling and with a slight recovery in the Italian property market it could be a great place to invest overseas. We have numerous joint ventures at the moment and a near full book for next year with visits to the Greek Islands, France and Cyprus already diarised, further proof of movement in the overseas property market. The move toward apart-hotels seems to be en-vogue and is most certainly on the radar - I'll keep you posted as things unfold.
